Day 12: What About Customers Who Want the Same Product…Presented Differently?

This 30-day series is a roadmap for you to create an online business by following the training in the One Funnel Away (OFA) Challenge from Russell Brunson and ClickFunnels. Years ago, I saw a movie called Universal Soldier…it’s a high tech action flick starring Dolph Lundgren and Jean Claude Van Damme (yes, I said years ago!)

At the end of the movie, I’m watching the credits and they said something like…get the video at X, find the book at Y, play the video game at Z…in other words if you wanted the same story in a different format, they had already created it for you.

The same entertainment was available in multiple ways. So any fan of the story could consume their entertainment as they wanted.

What Did These Guys Teach About Up-selling?

This is what you are going to do with your Flagship Framework. You are going to offer different versions, which level up each time in value (and price).

These different versions are called One-Time-Offers (OTO), available only after seeing the initial offer.

The first OTO to create is a Done-With-You version of your framework, which is usually a course (or videos, audio, books) that gives your customers an over-your-shoulder view of how your framework is implemented.

To be effective, the OTO must be a higher value product, so once again you are going to spend some time to work on this. It may seem like a lot to create another set of products and bonuses around your Flagship Framework….and it is. But you are doing this one time for long-term value.

Plus as Russell advises, you do not have to create everything upfront. Create the concepts and write the titles and copy, but give yourself time to create and upload the actual videos, audios, PDFs, or other products.

This is an important step. You could end up having the profit from your funnel come from your OTO, and once it’s set-up, you should be able to leave it, and just let it run.

So set aside a few days to work on your OTOs.

Day 12 Work Summary

  • Create Your Done-With-You product as OTO #1 including all the bonuses

Additional: Every day in the challenge, there are additional videos with great information, it is recommended that you watch everything, and apply the teachings to your own work. On this day, Jim Edwards continues his awesome teaching on copywriting by going through how to create titles for all your OTO products. A good title will help attract new customers, and frame the value of your product.

Your Results Today

A Done-With-You version of your Flagship Framework – often this is a course or another form of higher value content. You will also create the bonuses that compliment the main product.

Results to Date:

  • An active lead magnet on a one page funnel that collects emails from interested prospects (learn this from the 5-Day Lead Challenge) – 1 product
  • A plan for a Framework (or How-To or Guide) that you can offer your dream customers that helps them achieve a Result. You need to decide on a Core Result Framework, Best Framework from the Core, By-Product, Done-With-You version and Done-For-You version
  • Your Flagship Framework – a key ‘splinter’ part of your Core Framework – 1 product
  • Your Offer Stack to increase the perceived value of your Flagship Framework – (usually) 4 or 5 products
  • Your Facebook page to support your customers, and highlight the value you can deliver – 1 consistently updated social media presence
  • Your Social Media Posting Calendar with all your great ideas for engaging with your potential dream customers
  • Your ‘Who What Why How’ script summarizing your Flagship Framework offer – 1 sales presentation (video) for your landing page
  • Your Sales Page of your funnel offering your Flagship Framework and the story why your dream customers have to get it – Page 1 of 4 in your funnel
  • Your Order Bump or Framework-by-Product offered only with the sale of your Flagship Framework – 1 product
  • Your Member’s Area where all your products available to your customers – separate section in your funnel with its own login page
  • Your OTO #1 Done-With-You version of your flagship framework, and bonuses – 4 to 7 products

A word about costs…you can spend a little or a lot of money at different steps in the OFA process. For example, if you want to make a professional video and hire someone to film you, that’s going to cost you money. But if you use the tools you already have, like a smartphone and free software, you will spend nothing. So the costs are all estimates, based on the amount you would actually have to spend to finish OFA.
Using Click Funnels

OFA is built around using the ClickFunnels software to create your sales funnel. Technically, you can use any webpage software and link the pages together. But ClickFunnels is the only software that lets you manage all the pages together in one view.

The software also links the personal data that you gather from your customers. So if a sale is made on one page, the details link through to the next page…and so on. There are also other features that make it easy for customers to buy at a later date, without re-entering their information.
